  1. I am looking forward to coming to the HNS conference in September.
I am just awaiting the transfer of funds into my PayPal account which will take about a week.
Please save a me spot for the full event.

  2. What is the “dress code” for members and guests for the cocktail reception and banquet? My husband and I will be coming over from the States. Does the banquet have a medieval theme, so should I wear a long velvet dress? Are authors encouraged to pack costumes in their suitcases? Or is cocktail attire suitable? My husband is NOT one to sport any sort of costume at all. I’m lucky to get him in a coat and tie, let alone a suit, but he does clean up smartly!

  3. Jenny Barden says:

Leslie, there’s no particular dress code for the Banquet, just a request to dress smartly (suits or smart jacket and tie for the gents will be fine, though any dashing man prepared to sport a bow tie and dinner jacket will be particularly welcome!) We’re still at the planning stage, but our intention is to reprise the costume pageant, so if you’re up for bringing along a costume then please do and be prepared to show it off! Hope this helps! J

  4. Cynthia says:

Could you tell me if the 169 pounds that covers the “main elements” of the conference includes all of the networking events such as the Friday evening reception and Saturday banquet? (I understand it does not include excursions).

    Best, Cynthia

  5. Jenny Barden says:

So sorry not to have responded to this before, Cynthia. I can confirm that the £169 covers both the Friday evening reception and the Saturday night banquet as well as the conference on both Saturday and Sunday. (A bargain if ever there was one!)

  6. Karen Patricia Smith says:

Hello! I am registered for the conference. I received the e mail questionnaire and tried to reply. Unfortunately, the entire form vanished from my screen before I could reply. I am unable to retrieve it. It looked as though it was sent by Jennifer Bardon(?} Could you please send out the questionnaire again to: alice31smith@optonline.net? Thank you.

  7. Risa Meyer says:

Looking forward to meeting everyone at the conference. Thank you.
