Networking & Social

Delegates will have many opportunities to network and socialise with speakers, sponsors and friends – old and new – and to enjoy some delicious catering. We hope that HNS Conference 2012 will be great fun, as well as rewarding and informative.

Welcome Reception

Friday 28th Sept from 18.00 – 20.30 we will be greeting delegates at a Wine and Canapes Reception

Venue – Fyvie Hall, 309 Regent Street

Main whole day conference

Saturday  29 Sept 9.00am-5.30pm

During the Conference day tea, coffee and juices will be served with croissants, pastries and biscuits followed by a classic sandwich lunch and a tea time serving of tea, coffee and freshly baked cookies.

Venue – The Old Cinema and other rooms within the University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street.

£65 members, £70 non-members

Conference Banquet

Saturday 29 Sept 7.30pm-11.00pm

Features of the Banquet:

 

 

  • Three course dinner with complementary bottles of red and white wine on each table followed by tea/coffee and petit fours (vegetarian option available)
  • After-dinner speech by Bernard Cornwell
  • Minstrels and jesters
  • Costume Pageant (Come prepared to dress in period costume if you would like to take part)
  • The famous ‘Saturday Night Sex Scene Readings’ presented by Gillian Bagwell and friends with special guest Bernard Cornwell (Gillian and company will read from a selection of your favourite saucy excerpts)

Venue – The Old Cinema, 309 Regent Street

£49 members, £59 non-members
(limited to those also attending a day Conference and their partners – but no more than one partner per day Conference attendee)

Second Day Conference

Sunday 30th Sept 9.30am-2.00pm (Second day conference – morning+lunch)

During the morning tea, coffee and juices will be served with croissants, pastries and biscuits followed by a classic lunch with sandwiches and wraps.

Venue – The Old Cinema and other rooms within the University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street.

£45 members, £50 non-members

 

Our Excursions to Greenwich and the Museum of London offer further opportunities to network and socialise while experiencing these two important historic sites.
